2025 Family Snowplay Social

Sunday January 19th, 3–6 PM (if weather and snow conditions cooperate);

Silver Creek Sledding Hill (old rope tow across from SC cabin 26)

Please come join others from the cabin community at this event and hopefully we can all partake in some fun sledding or sliding during the long holiday weekend.

In prior years, when snow levels and weather have been favorable, this has been a very fun event.  In other years, there has been insufficient snow and we have had to cancel. We will keep 

members updated via email and the Facebook page as to whether we will hold the event or cancel; we hope it works and that we see a good turnout of cabin families at this fun social event!

Make sure you dress appropriately, bring your own sleds or tubes, and any refreshments you may want. Parking may be tight, so please carpool or walk if possible. A bathroom will be available across the street at Cabin #26 if needed.

In order to minimize liability for the WRRA and cabin owners, we have a few requests to help make this a safe event:

· Participants are strongly urged to use safety equipment such as helmets and eye protection.

· Sleds and tubes should be examined before coming, to make sure there are no sharp edges or pointy things that could break skin or tear clothing.

· No standing on or sliding on the road.

· Safe and sane sliding speeds.

· Do not build large jumps.

· Parents should remain on site for supervision of their children.
